PROGRAM NOTES: is it still autumn? is yet another work inspired by a season in my catalog; in this series of season-related compositions, is it still autumn? takes on a slightly darker tone. Inspired by how climate change makes us question whether it is still autumn despite having entered the winter months, this piece uses meditative yet shifting harmony to juxtapose the beauty of the autumn season and the melancholy of the changing global climatic state.
